Ho Chi Minh - Sa Dec: 130km – 3h

Departure from your hotel with driver without guide from Hanoi Voyages for Phu An where the cruise begins. Welcome by the crew and installation on board. French-speaking guide on board.

On the way to Binh Minh, visit the local craft village (coconut candy, popcorn, rice dough, drying longans) and the old house at Dong Hoa Hiep village.

The cruise will head to Sa Dec, cruise upstream on the Tien Giang River, one of the two widest arms of the Mekong River. The countless islets dotted along the Mekong remain untouched by all visitors. Crisscrossed by numerous arroyos and canals that irrigate them, they are green all year round. Their vast rice fields make this region the "rice granary of Vietnam".

Continue by sampan to explore the life on the coast, the inhabitants and the beautiful landscapes.

We will then cross the Co Chien River, passing through ancient villages to visit a clay pot factory.

Continue to Binh Minh. Lunch is served on board.

Discover the daily life of local people and visit a Cao Dai temple.

Return to the ship. The cruise will continue to sail to Can Tho through beautiful narrow canals passing some bamboo rope bridges and small typical villages.

Enjoy dinner and your first night on board.

Cai Rang Floating Market - Can Tho - Ho Chi Minh (B)

During your sleep, your sampan will weigh anchor and slowly head towards Cai Rang. A breakfast will be served on board as you pass through lush landscapes, discovering the riverbanks and the beginning of activities. Arrive in Cai Rang to explore one of the most important floating markets in the delta. You will navigate through the heart of the market among dozens of barges in multi-colored colors filled with various fruits and vegetables.

Your cruise will end around 9:00 AM.

Disembarkation and welcome at the port by our driver.

Arrive in Ho Chi Minh.

Ho Chi Minh - Can Tho - Sa Dec (L, D)

Ho Chi Minh - Can Tho: 170km – 4h

Departure from your hotel to the Can Tho dock. Board the Song Xanh sampan at 10:00 AM. Your crew will welcome you with refreshing towels and a welcome drink. Settle in on board.

Observe from the sampan the daily life in the Mekong Delta on the shore, the people and the beautiful landscapes, as the attentive crew serves you tea and seasonal fruits.

Cruise upstream on the Hau River, one of the two largest branches of the Mekong. After visiting floating houses where local people raise fish under their houses, lunch is served on board.

Continue to Sa Dec. The last stop before sunset is Kien An Cung, an ancient Chinese architectural work that has contributed to the Chinese community in Dong Thap for nearly a century.

Dinner is served on board. Enjoy your first night aboard the sampan on the Tien River.

Cai Be - Ho Chi Minh (B)

Cai Be - Ho Chi Minh

A delicious breakfast will be served on board while you observe life on the riverbank, the people and the beautiful landscapes from your sampan.

Arrival in Cai Be, you will visit local artisan industries that use Delta products such as rice and coconuts to make delicious snacks, including puffed rice and chewy coconut candies.

Explore Tan Phong Island by local boat.

A delightful lunch awaits you at the "Longanier," a stunning Indochinese-style mansion located on an old plantation, on the banks of the river.

Your cruise will end at the Cai Be dock. Drive back to Ho Chi Minh

Ho Chi Minh - Cai Be - Sa Dec (L, D)

Transfer to Cai Be where the cruise begins. You will be welcomed by the crew and settle on board.

Crossing landscapes with a bucolic character, the cruise heads towards the hamlet of Phu An. An enjoyable bike ride will immerse you in the heart of the delta, to discover its remote villages and the life of its inhabitants, where time seems to have stood still.

A delicious lunch awaits you at the “Longanier”, a stunning Indochinese-style mansion located on an old plantation, on the banks of the river.

After lunch, board the Sampan Song Xanh to visit the local craft villages using products from the delta such as rice and coconut, discover the life of the local people on the mighty Mekong River.

Your cruise will resume in the early afternoon heading towards Sa Dec. The countless islets dotted along the Mekong remain untouched by any visitors. Crisscrossed by numerous arroyos and canals that irrigate them, they are green all year round. Their vast rice fields make this region the country’s “rice bowl.”

The many canals make this charming town of Sadec a real little “Venice”… You will disembark to visit the local market and the historic house from 1890 of Mr. Huynh Thuy Le, the lover of the famous writer Marguerite Duras, where you will have a candlelight dinner, an unforgettable experience in a warm atmosphere.

Return on board to enjoy your first night aboard the sampan on the Tien River.

Sa Dec - Can Tho (B, L, D)

Sa Dec -  Can Tho

After breakfast on board, cruise to Vinh Long along a narrow river, passing several stilt houses to reach Cai Tau Ha, a picturesque village.

Take a walk to visit a temple where traditional medicines are made from herbs or continue further into the village to see how blacksmiths make a variety of common agricultural tools and iron objects for daily life.

Return to the boat for lunch.

After lunch, visit a clay pot factory in Vinh Long.

The cruise will continue to sail towards Can Tho through pretty narrow canals passing some bamboo rope bridges and small typical villages. Some stops planned to interact directly with local people, you will also visit a Cao Dai temple.

Return on board for dinner and overnight while the Song Xanh continues its cruise towards the Hau River.

Cai Rang floating market - Ho Chi Minh (B)

During your sleep, your sampan will lift anchor to slowly head towards Cai Rang. A delicious breakfast will be served on board as you pass through lush landscapes, discovering the banks and the start of activities. Arrive in Cai Rang to explore the Cai Rang floating market, one of the largest floating markets in the delta. You will move through the heart of the market among dozens of multi-colored barges filled with various fruits and vegetables.

Your cruise will end around 10am.

Return to Ho Chi Minh.

In the afternoon, we will make a stop at the islet of “Cu Lao Ong Ho” (Tiger Island) to visit the museum dedicated to Vietnam's second president, Ton Duc Thang.

Return on board for dinner and overnight on board while heading towards Rach Gia.

Rach Gia - Ho Chi Minh (B)

Arrive in Rach Gia, a port city located in the extreme south of Vietnam in the Gulf of Thailand. Its main industries are fishing and agriculture.

Breakfast will be served on board around 7:00 am (for those who have the Rach Gia – Phu Quoc flight at 8:00 am, breakfast will be served at 6:00 am).

From Rach Gia, you can then return to Ho Chi Minh.

Breakfast is served on board during the cruise to Chau Doc.

Near the border with Cambodia, Chau Doc is the gateway where you can take the hydrofoil to Phnom Penh. Known throughout Vietnam for its pagodas and temples, it is also famous for the Tra Su reserve, a superb eucalyptus and mangrove forest.

Disembark around 10:00.

Drive back to Ho Chi Minh.
