Round-trip travel from Hanoi to Ninh Binh in 4 hours

Departure in the morning, through the Vietnamese countryside. Parade of images of rice fields where women in conical hats and fishermen with cast nets are busy. Calm and serene scenery of lands crisscrossed with crops, small forgotten pagodas struck by the sun, and disordered cemeteries

• Visit to the dynastic temples of Dinh and Le

The Tam Coc site, often nicknamed "the terrestrial Halong Bay" is in an exceptional environment. A setting of superb landscapes of rocky peaks covered with vegetation springing from peaceful green rice fields. It is here that many scenes from the film Indochina were filmed. Touristy but authentic, this site is delightful and soothing

• You will take a small rowing boat steered by a woman
• Enjoy Ninh Binh specialty (goat meat and puffed rice gratin) at a local, family-run establishment for lunch
• By bike, towards the Bich Dong pagoda. If the timing allows it and if you are brave, you will climb the steps of the staircase dug into the rock to access the pagoda to enjoy an exceptional view of the entire site

Return to Hanoi in the afternoon

Y Linh Ho - Lao Chai - Ta Van

Transfer by private vehicle to Sapa for a day of hiking around Sapa, meeting ethnic minorities in the heart of the rice fields

• Y Linh Ho village, in the Muong Hoa valley, is the starting point for the hikes
• Hike 6 kilometers through the terraced rice fields to the village of Lao Chai
• This small village is inhabited by the Black Hmong ethnic minority. Along the way, meet women from the village dressed in ethnic costumes. You will be touched by their kindness in walking a part of the way with you
• After lunch, take a short 2-kilometer walk to the village of Ta Van, inhabited by the Giay ethnic group
• The people of Ta Van specialize in stone and wood carving. The women work with hemp, weave on looms, and prepare indigo blue dyes after harvesting the plant

Sapa - Ma Tra - Ta Phin - Bac Ha: 3h

• Hiking on a mountainous road where rice terraces follow one another. Sapa is an ancient high-altitude resort founded by the French at the beginning of the century. Sapa is home to more than 30 ethnic minorities and has the highest peak in Vietnam, Mount Fansipan located at an altitude of 3143 m

Bac Ha Market (Sunday Only) - Lao Cai - Bus - Hanoi: 310 km - 5h

• Visit the large Bac Ha market which takes place on Sundays: it is the most colorful market in the north of Vietnam. Very touristy, but very authentic too. The ethnic minorities, Hmong flowers, the Tay, the Phu La meet there because the market is the place of meetings and commercial and social exchanges

• There is a lot of excitement in the middle of a devilishly colorful crowd. The Hmong women wear outfits composed of wide, richly embroidered skirts and a black top whose shoulders and neckline are also adorned with very "flashy" embroidery. They are adorned with beautiful silver jewelry
• Visit the baroque palace of the H'Mong chief, Hoang A Tuong, built in 1920 and very well restored
